On Monday, May 20, 2024 the Metro West Mayors gathered with 50 regional mayors to speak on the importance of restoring the Local Government Distributive Fund (LGDF). Collectively, these mayors represent 275 municipalities in the Chicagoland area. The mayors urged the General Assembly to restore this funding to full levels which is crucial in providing public safety, infrastructure, and health & community services. Metro West continues to advocate for LGDF on behalf of the municipalities in Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties.
